Find Us At The Gilbert Farmer’s Market

Great news to all our Gilbert customers! We will be at the Gilbert Farmer’s Market for the rest of the fall season! We are so excited to have joined this market and have already enjoyed the time that we have spent getting to know you all. First Plants of 2022

We have our first plants of 2022 in the ground! With the move we had to get things going a bit later than we would have liked to in our growing zone. That said, we have so many days of wonderful warm months ahead that iit is hard to feel too bad. We have lots of seedlings soaking up the light on our indoor grow racks and now our first planting of sunflowers are testing out the new digs in the flower field! USDA Hardiness Zone and Frost Dates

The leaves are changing and the days are growing shorter. Autumn is a great time to plan your garden for next year and enjoy the last summer blooms before winter sets in. As a new grower there are some more jargon heavy phrases that I hear quite often. The first of these was “zone.” While I clearly know the word zone I did not fully understand what it meant in terms of growing. Sunflower Fails and Successes

It turns out that you can be the worst at growing what is deemed “the easiest flower to grow.” In case you hadn’t heard sunflowers are supposedly indestructible. You just stick the seed in the ground, cover it up, give it some sun and water and like magic you have a giant flower a few months later.
