What Sunflowers We Are Growing This Spring

We are deep into spring here in Arizona and could not be happier that we already have buckets full of sunflowers. We started our first trays at the beginning of February and so far we have had wonderful blooms each week in April. We started with about 200 sunflowers a week and bumped it up to 300 in preparation for Mother’s Day. After the success we saw at the Farmer’s Market we started another 100 each week. Get Your Flowers at the Chandler Farmer’s Market This Spring!

Hello friends! I am so excited to share that we will be selling fresh bouquets at the Chandler Farmer’s Market starting in April! I am so excited for our first flowers to bloom and to share them with our local community. If all goes well we will be starting the market the first Saturday of April – the 2nd. First Plants of 2022

We have our first plants of 2022 in the ground! With the move we had to get things going a bit later than we would have liked to in our growing zone. That said, we have so many days of wonderful warm months ahead that iit is hard to feel too bad. We have lots of seedlings soaking up the light on our indoor grow racks and now our first planting of sunflowers are testing out the new digs in the flower field! Trader Joe’s Flower Arrangements #1

This last week I went to my favorite place… Trader Joe’s! I know that is likely a regular occurrence for most folks but when the closest one is over an hour away it is a real treat.
